Chapter 2- Meeting Mr. Right

The next day I rose up out of bed bright and early and started looking for someone to share my life with. This being lonely business was gong to end today if I had my way. Of course, maybe I should have gotten dressed first but there was not time to waste. First up was the mail man and some other guy who was running by.  The mail man was giving me some strange vibes and the running guy seemed to be humoring me so maybe it was time to go get dressed.

After I got dressed, I was enjoying some fruit loops when this guy came by. He seemed friendly enough but he just wasn’t the one.

As we were all standing there talking another guy came by and his name was Evan. You can see him in this picture with the red glasses. I don’t know what it is about some men but once Evan showed up the mail man was MAD.  I didn’t care because all I could think about was how dreamy Evan was with his beautiful eyes and wonderful humor, it was hard for me to take my eyes off of him. He was so nice and warm and caring. Umm…where was I? Oh yeah……

After the other guys left, we continued to talk and had a really nice time.

We even stared at the clouds in the sky that day and pointed out which fluffy animals we saw. It was such a good day.

The next day this guy showed up and asked me to go to the flea market. Heck yeah. I had nothing to sit on and finally some money in my pocket from my first few days at work and digging rocks so I was ready to spend.

We had a good time. I sang a little and we ate some fair food. I also wound up buying a couch for the humble abode so all in all it was fun but all I could think about was Evan. I hadn’t heard from him yet and was starting to wonder if he would call. It had been a couple of days.

Finally the next day, Evan called and we went out on a date.

I was so happy to see him, I couldn’t stop hugging him. We had a very good time and the next day he called again and invited me to his home.

Evan lived in a really nice house. He said he was a Gardner but he still lived with his grandfather. There was never any reason to move out as this house was HUGE.

We had a really nice time playing chess and talking and talking. It felt like we had known each other all our lives. I told him all about my family and what happened to my parents and he told me all about his mom and dad and how they were struck down by a meteor when he was a young child. Luckily he lived with his grandfather so he didn’t have to stay in the Orphanage.

I am not sure what possessed me, but I got down on one knee and proposed then and there. He said yes and just like that we were engaged. I was so happy.

The next day when Evan came over, he seemed really sad.

I asked him what was wrong and he said his grandfather passed away last night after I left. How awful.

I did my best to cheer him up and reassure him that he was not alone anymore. I would always be with him.

I am not sure what it was but Evan said he didn’t want to wait. We needed to get married right away so we decided there is no time like the present and we got married.

It was the happiest day of my life. No more being alone for either of us. We would start a family together and make a nice home. I couldn’t wait.
